Today is January 18, 2019; the
SHARE THE BOUNTY workers needed for September 21 — the July slots are filled
The Food Insecurity Task Force is currently planning our Fifth year of Share the Bounty. Farm produce is distributed through the Hunger Task Force. Last year over 30,000 lbs was collected.
We’ll need 2 or 3 volunteers from CSOA on designated days to help collect produce at the Onalaska Farmers Markets on Sunday mornings. All the job requires of you is that you explain our program to interested shoppers and accept their produce donations. (You don’t need to do any set up.)
Please sign up, indicating the dates and times you are available.
Sundays July 6, July 13 and September 21
8 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at the market in the Onalaska Festival Foods parking lot.
Two shifts: 8 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and 10:00 a.m. to closing.
(Incidentally, free demonstrations for preparing fresh garden produce will be presented by local cooking enthusiasts and gardeners.
