“The Children We remember:” A Community Holocaust Remembrance Service Will be Held at the Roncalli Newman Center on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 PM
Last year’s community-wide Holocaust remembrance service co-sponsored by CSOA and the Roncalli Newman Catholic Parish was a moving experience for all who attended. This year’s program, “The Children We Remember:” A Community Holocaust Remembrance Service will be held on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 PM at the Newman Center, 1732 State Street. CSOA community members helped in the planning of the event and will also participate in the program.
In addition to music performed by Busya Lugovier, three CSOA teens, Jake Litman, Benjamin Short and Michael Vandervennet will join three teens from the Newman Center in a dramatic reading of excerpts from the diaries of children who perished in Auschwitz and Treblinka. Jon Cowan worked behind the scenes to bring this program to fruition.
This program is free and open to the public.
