“Share the Bounty” volunteers needed!
The Food Insecurity Task Force of AMOS is currently planning our sixth year of Share the Bounty. Farm produce is distributed through the Hunger Task Force. Each year over 30,000 lbs are collected. Also, free demonstrations using fresh garden produce are presented by local cooking enthusiasts and gardeners, and an appreciation dinner for the farmers is hosted.
We’ll need 2 or 3 volunteers from CSOA on designated days to help collect produce at the Onalaska Farmers Markets on Sunday mornings. All the job requires of you: that you explain our program to interested shoppers, and accept their produce or money donations. Just show up. You don’t need to do set up or take down.
