Today is April 22, 2019; the
As most of you know, Rabbi Prombaum is retiring on June 30.
Brian Serle has applied for the job, initially on an interim basis. Brian is from the Minneapolis area and has conducted services at a number of different synagogues in the region, both Conservative and Reform. These include synagogues in St. Paul, Eau Claire, Duluth and Sheboygan.
We have invited Brian to conduct our services on the weekend of May 3-4. These services will be much more Reform than our customary services. He will be conducting a one hour Friday night service on May 3 after a dinner at 6 p.m. in the social hall. He will be conducting a children’s service from 10:00 to 10:30 on Saturday morning, May 4 and an adult Saturday morning service from 10:30 to 12:00, followed by a kiddush. If you and your children were at the children’s service and want to attend the adult service, we will have baby sitters for your children on site during the adult service.
Everyone is welcome to attend these services. However, if you are planning to come to the Friday night dinner, please RSVP below by April 28th. As usual, there will be a small charge for the meal.
After the weekend is over, if you want to provide any feedback to the Board regarding Brian, please email Roger Ziff at email@example.com.
