Today is August 17, 2017; the
The Jewish Women’s League cookbook is underway and ready for your recipes. All recipes are welcome as long as they are kosher.
As a reminder, these items are not kosher: pork, rabbit, eagle, owl, catfish, sturgeon, and any shellfish. In addition, meat items may not be included in a recipe with dairy items. Please note eggs and fish are considered parve (neutral) and can be combined with anything.
You may contribute any number of recipes in one of three ways:
1. Hard copy to JWL Cookbook, CSOA, 1820 Main Street, La Crosse WI 54601
2. Email to email@example.com
3. Enter recipes yourself at Typensave.com (the committee’s preferred method).
To enter at Typensave, go to typensave.com and enter jwlcookbook as the use ID (all lower case) and roast075 (lowercase) as the password.
Click on the “add recipes” button and the website will guide you through the process. In addition to the ingredients and directions, please state the number of servings. While the format is basic, you can “add a part” to include more information. This is where you can specify dairy, meat or parve; indicate if the recipe is vegan, for Passover, or something else special about it. You can also use “add a part” to include a brief sentence about the recipe, such as its history or significance.
