Help needed: Mobile Meals!

CSOA has been tasked to help deliver “meals on wheels” to shut-ins on Monday June 24 through Sunday June 30. (As the 29th is Shabbat, Mobile Meals of La Crosse will find another group to fill that day for us.)

Mobile Meals of La Crosse prepares meals for elderly and disabled every day of the year.  However, they need volunteer drivers to deliver this important cargo.  The task is not difficult, usually requiring an hour to 1-1/2 hours of your time. While one person can do it alone, it is much easier for two people to work together.

To volunteer for this worthy mitzvah, please sign up below, along with the dates you’d be available. Wayne Bottner, our Social Action chair, will get back to you with details concerning pickup point and route number.

There is a video explaining the process which can be accessed at this link , but it is slightly out of date. It describes Bethany Lutheran Homes as a second pickup site, which has now been superseded by Eagle Crest/South. The Mayo location in the video is the other current pickup location. Please watch the entire video (less than 5 minutes) because there is useful information throughout.

Thank you!

I’m available any day that week. I would like a partner, though.

Sandy Perlmutter and Carol Ziff will deliver meals on Thursday June 27th. Let us know at which site we should pick up meals.
