This course is designed for those who are exploring Judaism for the first time, as well as for those who want a deeper understanding of Jewish practice and thought. Our class will be structured around viewing together video lectures from the Great Courses series “Introduction to Judaism” taught by Rabbi Shai Cherry, PhD.
Class Schedule: Class meets live from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings, starting on April 2, according to the schedule below. These lessons will be recorded for viewing after class on our YouTube channel.
Class structure: For each class session, the first 30 minutes will be devoted to introductory discussion and text study, the next 30 minutes will be devoted to viewing a video lecture by Dr. Cherry, and the final 30 minutes will be devoted to follow-up discussion. Drop-ins are welcome. No prior background is required. Please contact Brian Serle if you have questions.
